Time Wasters X3!

A lover of all things eclectic.

Flash by Z How old is your brain

How Old Is Your Brain?: This is a neat little flash game from a Japanese website that simply test your reaction time to series of #’s. It’s fast, simple and brutally honest. I apparently have the brain of a 40 yr. old. Eric has the brain of a 35 yr. old. Just reinforces that theory that women mature faster than men!

Flash by Z Rain Music

Raindrop Melody Maker: A very addictive little laptop toy. Designed for kids but just as much fun for the kid at heart. Click on the raindrops to compose and record a song. The question mark found at the bottom of the page will explain how to do it. It’s very soothing.

Flash by Z Sandbox

Digital Sandbox: My husband started sharing this one immediately after I showed it to him. thisissand.com is a website that changes the pixels on your computer screen into digital grains of sand that can be manipulated to the users desire to create colorful sand paintings. Just like a real world sandbox, you can redesign again and again and again.

Flash by Z Draw Toy

DrawToy: This is an awesome piece of flash. It’s animated drawing…for the very artistic. Simple but very cool. My husband and I are huge fans of flash to this is definitely one of our favorites. The site that we found this tidbit on unfortunately has many lost/broken links but if your patient enough to click around you will find several awesome interactive computer sites just like this one. NOTE FROM USMCSKY: This one is my personal favorite. Awesome work.

Flash by Z Paper Airplane

Paper Pilot: Who doesn’t dream of being an aerospace engineer? Paper airplanes go high tech in this interactive computer game. Your objective is to design a plane and then throw it as far as you can. Note that only practice mode works! Use YOUR MOUSE to make a throw. Grab the plane, pull back the arm and then release to throw. Tone of fun and eco-friendly….no actual trees were harmed in the making of this game.

Can’t beat you. Are you sure you’re counting meters and not yards? :-)

Nope…He’s measuring in meters! I’ve been watching him. Over 40 meters every attempt I’ve seen. Maybe his use of a laptop vs. A regular PC is an advantage?

HA HA! Three feet to either. I just threw four planes and all exceeded 40 meters. Desi watched to verify scores and I created screen shots of the last two. Nothing like proof.

Heavier plane with winglets is key.

He tends to be modest but a “little bit” competitive none the less. Oh! Who am I kidding……………he’s classic Alpha-Male. Grunt! Grunt! Hear him roar!

I’ll try again this evening for as long as it may take.

So don’t expect to hear from me in the next couple of days :-)

Home sick so what do I have to lose. My last recorded score was 48.1 METERS. Good luck!
