The family has grown by one. It is a Dingo named Roxie. So the story goes something like this, “No honey, we are not stopping.” This said by me as we pass a local dog shelter. “Come on, we are only going to look,” says she. “No honey, we are not stopping!” I say as she turns into the parking lot. “We are only going to look, no harm done,” says she. Forty five minutes later with $86.00 less in my pocket, we are the proud owners of a whiny, weak blattered pup named Roxie. Sasha did need a new playmate and the dog was on its “day seven” at the pound. Well, it was a true rescue. The Dingo and the Akita get along great. In the past week, together they have eaten about $100.00 worth of crown molding, a BRAND NEW floor rug corner, a loaf of new bought bread, two dining room chairs and a floor vent. I don’t mean chewed on. Several items were literally eaten. “Come on honey, we are just going to look.” Those are words that will be burnt into my ears for the next 8 to 15 years. I love all three of my girls dearly but two of them are very difficult to keep in the yard. Time for me to make the hourly search for “mistakes.”

Well, it has been a couple of months since these pics were taken so I back-dated the post. In the meantime, Sasha has taken over lap dog duties. We should have looked at smaller breeds. I am in the floor. Seems like I am the only one that picks up on the fact that Desi and Sasha have started to mimic one another. One photo shows them grinning the same. No telling whats going through their respective minds. The other shows both Desi and Sasha saying NO to Roxie and me getting on the couch. =) Paws out!
